In-Game Rules
Last Updated: 24/06/2026
Rules are essential to a fair and realistic experience. We aim to keep your experience balanced and players respectful.
ROLEPLAY CORES
Roleplay is the foundation of County Lines Roleplay. The following rules exist to maintain a realistic, immersive, and fair environment for all players. Every character action should make sense within the world and contribute positively to roleplay scenarios.
(1) ROLEPLAY FUNDAMENTALS
Your character should remain in roleplay at all times unless an administrator authorizes otherwise.
• Stay in character during gameplay and active situations
• Do not intentionally disrupt, avoid, or abandon ongoing roleplay
• Disconnecting, quitting, or delaying roleplay to gain an advantage is prohibited
• You must remain in-game for a minimum of 15 minutes following any significant roleplay incident to allow other players a reasonable opportunity to locate and continue roleplay involving your character
• Character names must be realistic and suitable for the setting
• Joke names, parody names, celebrity names, and names from fictional media are not permitted
• Real-world public figures may not be portrayed on the server
• Using multiple characters to benefit one another is prohibited
• OOC scams involving money, assets, or account-related matters are forbidden
• All sales and transactions must take place in-character using in-game currency only
• Any form of OOC sale involving money, assets, businesses, vehicles, property, or account-related items is strictly prohibited
• English must be used at all times within the server, including voice and text chat, to ensure staff can effectively moderate roleplay and resolve reports
• Players may not remain AFK in public areas where they obstruct or negatively impact roleplay. If you need to be away, move your character to an appropriate private location.
(1.1) METAGAMING (MG)
MetaGaming occurs when information learned outside of roleplay is used to influence your character's decisions.
• Your character may only act on information they have learned through roleplay
• Information gained through Discord, streams, screenshots, or other external sources may not be used ICly
• Nametags should not be treated as character knowledge
• Using information your character would not reasonably know is prohibited
• Sharing information between unrelated characters for personal gain is not allowed
• The server lore must be respected at all times
• The roleplay setting is based within the server's established timeline. Referencing technology, events, slang, brands, media, or objects that would not reasonably exist after the year 2005 is considered Metagaming unless specifically included within server lore
• Characters may not reference or discuss real-world historical events that do not exist within the server's lore. This includes, but is not limited to, the September 11 attacks, COVID-19, World War I, World War II, or any other real-world conflicts or global events
Example: Recognizing a player from their nametag and immediately calling them by name without an introduction.
(1.2) POWERGAMING (PG)
PowerGaming is the act of forcing outcomes or performing actions that would be unrealistic within the roleplay environment.
• Allow other players a reasonable opportunity to react to your actions
• Avoid actions that exceed normal human capabilities
• Do not force roleplay outcomes through commands or emotes
• Weapons and equipment must be roleplayed realistically
• Medium and large firearms may not be "scroll equipped." Appropriate roleplay must be performed using /me to retrieve and ready weapons such as MP5s, AK-47s, M4s, shotguns, rifles, and similar firearms
• Performing impossible stunts or surviving unrealistic injuries is prohibited
• Using gameplay mechanics to bypass realistic roleplay is considered PowerGaming
• The /spawn command may not be used to create unrealistic environments or gain an unfair advantage. Examples include sealing doors with signs, blocking vehicles with spawned objects, or creating artificial barriers
• Reckless behaviour that ignores the value of your character's life may result in punishment
Example: Emoting that you successfully restrain another player without giving them a chance to respond.
(1.3) DEATHMATCH (DM)
Violence must always be supported by logical roleplay reasoning and escalation.
• Attacking or killing another player without valid roleplay justification is prohibited
• Random acts of violence are not permitted
• Physical confrontations should develop naturally through roleplay
• Destroying vehicles or property without roleplay reasoning may be considered DM
• Intentionally ramming another player's vehicle to initiate or end a situation is prohibited unless specifically authorised by server mechanics or administration
• Running over players with a vehicle as a means of attacking, killing, or incapacitating them is prohibited except where it is an unavoidable accident during legitimate roleplay
Example: Opening fire on another player without prior interaction or motive.
(1.4) REVENGE KILL (RK)
Death carries consequences. Returning to continue a conflict using knowledge gained before death is not permitted.
• A deceased character should not remember the circumstances leading directly to their death
• Returning to a scene solely to retaliate is prohibited
• Information connected to your death may not be used to continue the situation
• Players must allow roleplay situations to progress naturally after death
Example: Respawning and immediately searching for the person responsible for your death.
(1.5) FEAR ROLEPLAY (FRP)
Characters should react realistically when faced with danger, injury, or overwhelming threats.
• Value your character's life during dangerous situations
• Show appropriate reactions to weapons, injuries, and threats
• Avoid behaviour that suggests your character has no concern for their safety
• Cooperation may be required when escape is clearly unrealistic
• During vehicle pursuits, players must commit to the vehicle they began the pursuit with. Switching vehicles mid-pursuit to gain an advantage or continue fleeing is prohibited unless directed through roleplay by administration
• Creative solutions are encouraged when they remain believable
Example: Mocking an armed attacker while surrounded with no realistic escape route.
(1.6) DEATH CONTRACTS (PK/CK)
Character deaths can have either temporary or permanent consequences depending on the circumstances.
• Player Kills (PK) represent non-permanent character deaths
• Character Kills (CK) permanently retire a character from the server
• Players may voluntarily CK their own character
• Administrative approval may be required in certain CK scenarios
• Medical roleplay should be respected when determining outcomes
• A PK resulting from injuries requires the injured player to have a red Critical Damage entry within /damages. Injuries that do not meet this threshold should be roleplayed appropriately without automatically resulting in a PK or CK
• Attempting unrealistic actions while critically injured may lead to severe consequences
The administration team reserves the final decision on disputed CK situations.
PROPERTY
Properties are important roleplay assets and should be maintained in a way that supports realistic interactions. Ownership does not grant permission to create unfair advantages or disrupt roleplay.
(2.1) PROPERTY RULES
Property owners are expected to manage their properties responsibly.
• Property actions should be communicated and roleplayed appropriately
• Interiors should remain consistent with the type of property being used
• Entrances, exits, and pathways must remain accessible
• Property setups may not be used to gain unfair gameplay advantages
• Roleplay occurring within properties should remain realistic and immersive
(2.2) ARSON
Arson is considered a major roleplay event and requires administrative supervision.
• Administrative approval must be obtained before commencing arson roleplay
• A legitimate roleplay motive must exist
• All involved parties must be capable of participating in the scenario
• Fire-related roleplay should be conducted realistically
• Staff may reject requests that lack sufficient roleplay quality or purpose
(2.3) OBJECT RULES
Objects, furniture, and accessories should be used to enhance roleplay experiences.
• Spawned objects must serve a genuine roleplay purpose
• Objects may not block access points or create exploits
• Decorative items should remain realistic and appropriate
• Accessories should not intentionally obstruct visibility or gameplay
• Staff may remove objects deemed disruptive or unrealistic
COMMUNICATIONS
Server communication systems should be used to enhance roleplay rather than bypass or disrupt it.
(3.1) ADVERTISEMENTS & RUMOURS
Advertisements and rumours are intended to support immersive roleplay and must be used responsibly.
• Advertisements may only be used for legitimate in-character purposes
• Advertisements may not be used to promote illegal activity
• Advertisements may not be used to harass, insult, expose, or abuse other members of the community
• Rumours should only be used for significant roleplay events, ongoing storylines, or meaningful character development
• Rumours are subject to the same standards and restrictions as advertisements
• Misuse of these systems to spam, troll, or disrupt roleplay may result in administrative action
EXPLICIT
Mature themes require additional restrictions to ensure all players remain comfortable and protected. Content that crosses reasonable boundaries may be restricted or prohibited entirely.
(4.1) EXPLICIT ROLEPLAY
Roleplay involving mature subject matter must remain controlled and appropriate.
• All participants must willingly engage in the scenario
• Content should remain within server standards
• Public areas are not suitable for explicit roleplay
• Staff may intervene when necessary to protect the community
(4.2) SEXUAL ROLEPLAY
Sexual roleplay is permitted only under specific conditions.
• Participation must be voluntary for all involved players
• Characters under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from participating
• Such roleplay must occur in private settings
• Consent may be withdrawn at any stage
• Continuing after consent is withdrawn is prohibited
• Any form of forced sexual roleplay is forbidden
(4.3) GRUESOME/EXTREME ROLEPLAY
Highly disturbing or graphic content is subject to strict limitations.
• Excessive gore and graphic descriptions are not permitted
• Roleplay involving extreme themes may require administrative approval
• Shock-content intended solely to disturb others is prohibited
• Abuse, exploitation, or illegal themes are not permitted
• Staff reserve the right to stop any scene deemed inappropriate
