Rambo / Chicken Running is a strategy used in gunfights to make shooting more difficult, and is not allowed.

RAMBO / CHICKEN RUNNING

RAMBO (PG) Ramboing, sometimes referred to as Chicken Running (CR), is a form of PowerGaming where a player disregards their character's safety in order to aggressively pursue kills or gain an advantage during combat.

Players are expected to value their character's life and approach armed confrontations with realistic caution. Combat should involve positioning, cover, tactical decision-making, and self-preservation rather than reckless aggression. This rule exists to prevent unrealistic behaviour that prioritises securing kills over believable roleplay.

• This rule is highly situational and will always be reviewed within the context of the roleplay
• Staff will consider factors such as available cover, positioning, number of opponents, and the circumstances of the engagement
• Not every aggressive push or attack automatically qualifies as Ramboing

Examples of Rambo / Chicken Running

• Ignoring available cover in order to secure quick kills
• Charging directly into active gunfire without regard for personal safety
• Rushing multiple armed opponents in open areas without a realistic chance of survival
• Forcing close-range engagements that devolve into unrealistic circle-shooting
• Running erratically in zig-zag patterns purely to make yourself harder to hit
• Abusing movement mechanics to avoid incoming fire rather than roleplaying the situation
• Prioritising kills over realistic survival instincts during a shootout

Examples That Are Not Rambo

• Entering an interior and unexpectedly encountering armed suspects
• Fighting in areas where cover is naturally limited, such as narrow alleys, small interiors, or confined spaces
• Moving between available cover during a gunfight
• Using flanking routes to gain a tactical advantage
• Advancing on a target who is unaware of your position
• Coordinated pushes where your side has a reasonable tactical or numerical advantage
• Repositioning to improve your angle or line of sight during combat

Remember

• Roleplay should always take priority over securing kills
• Winning a shootout does not justify unrealistic behaviour
• Your character should demonstrate a reasonable instinct for self-preservation at all times
